What this site collects
Nothing. Every page is a static document. There are no cookies, no analytics scripts, no advertising, no accounts, and no forms. Every asset, including the typefaces, is served from this site — loading a page makes no request to any third party. The salary marker you drag on a page runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. There is presently nothing here to consent to, which is why there is no cookie banner.
Hosting
Pages are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the page and keeps short-lived operational logs for security and reliability; it acts as our processor and we run no tracking on top of it.
If you write to press@salaryalmanac.com, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply. Mail is handled by our email provider and is never added to any list.
What will change
When the almanac begins carrying advertising, visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will see a consent banner first, with reject as easy as accept, and this page will be updated before anything ships. Traffic measurement will remain cookieless and server-side. The site is operated from Norway; the supervisory authority for the data controller is Datatilsynet.
